Pluto Selfies ~ 3 Feb 2016

Pluto Close Up

Pluto’s current zodiacal position hovers around the midpoint of his big adventure of transiting Capricorn. It is a big adventure, not so much as a function of the sign, but the fact that while in Capricorn, the New Horizon space probe persuaded Pluto to pose for a series of close-ups. Actually, it was more like someone briskly brushing by a secretive celebrity on a red carpet and snapping a social media-worth set of photo bomb selfies.

Good thing for that. Otherwise we would not have these stunning pics of Pluto that inspire awe and deeper understanding of the depth and mysteries of our solar system.

Since Mercury went direct a week ago, he and Pluto have stood in virtual conjunction. While the rarely seen Mercury was part of the picaresque predawn planet array, Pluto due to distance and not his helmet of invisibility, remained unseen. Good thing for the amazing portfolio of Pluto pics. We can stare at Pluto’s fascinating features and get lost in the vision of his stunningly beautiful terrain.

What will Pluto bring as he traverses the midpoint of Capricorn throughout the rest of the year? Likely he will double take, watching Uranus, closer to the Sun, align with Eris more distant from the Sun in Aries. Could Pluto make a statement about the Plutocracy by ushering The Big Short movie - a film about the housing bubble - win an Oscar? Or would he be more inclined to reenforce the realization that a tech bubble is in process and entrepreneurs who have made themselves so rich on very thin stuff at best have, in fact, activated Eris by isolating themselves from real, working folk? Or will Pluto bring out the real deal with the Iranian nuclear deal as money begins to pour back into the previously embargoed nation? All are uber-Pluto and a lot to think about. So in the interest of making this more about a personal relationship with the enigmatic Pluto, consider...

The Mercury to Pluto alignment is now waning, soon to be replaced by another personal planet taking on Pluto. On Friday, Venus joins Pluto on the ecliptic.

Here we move from getting clear on what thoughts truly lurk in the depths of consciousness, courtesy of Mercury to Pluto. Mercury promises that if you acknowledge what you really want, especially in things mundane (Capricorn), or underworld stuff like oil investments, gems and precious stones from Pluto’s realm, or things that inspire a focused, passionate drive for destiny, then things soar to nearly inconceivable heights. Once one knows what stokes the furnace of the soul, those stoke worthy traits can be prioritized as something that one cannot live without and drive matches dharmic effort.

With a clear sense of priority, the urging can be added to the transit of Venus. Value increases. The resources one possesses yearn to support the objective in a no-holds-barred approach to the circumstances ahead. As much as the shimmering appeal of Venus in the morning sky inspires awe, the cause of her shimmering adds to the pursuit of life. Venus is hot... greenhouse hot. As well, the surface of the planet experiences intense atmospheric pressure. The heat is on. The pressure rises. It is a planet where the surface cannot be seen until standing exactly on it. Much like life where what one expects from a situation may become more or less than expectation, and there’s no knowing until fully engaging.

No matter, the caution of “be careful what you wish for” falls on deaf ears during a Venus influence with Pluto. It’s about needing it, wanting it and going for it, as if there is no tomorrow. Needing it and wanting it will please Venus. Going for it pleases Pluto.

Venus offers two other important ingredients this conjunction cocktail. First, she demands that an awareness of ones personal, intoxicating skills, attributes and talents come into a full focus. Then, they can be added to the conscious awareness and with that addition, amalgamation of desire and ability unify, no doubt casting appeal as far as the eye can see. Now a trickier element of Venus enters the picture... receptivity.

When the golden ring ends up in your hand, when the deal memo hits your inbox, when the dream job is offered, when that which exceeds your wildest dreams stands smack dab in the middle of the fork in the road, will you accept it and embrace it without hesitation or question?

Bear in mind, what “it” is may not come to full and true light courtesy of the physical constitution of Venus, and bear in mind the results could be infinitely better than previously perceived, and as such overwhelm the sensibilities of the soul for a short time.

If acceptance occurs and a “yes, thank you,” is uttered, a time for selfies with Pluto to celebrate the results undeniably exists.

Now, if the transit this week does not exactly align with your chart, and if you figure you’ll get no results from the planets in play, work on those expectations. Regardless of tangible results, reformatting the psyche to remain receptive to good, and more than beyond the beyond, likely propels the journey into more intriguing dimensions where who knows what great things can be accomplished.
